(Item No. J-16):Vitamin A - Extra A Plus - 100 caps

Contains 25,000 units of vitamin A.

The Extra-A Plus has 8,333 IU from each of the following: beta-carotene, fish liver oil and vitamin A palmitate.

The beta-carotene is a natural source from mixed carotenoid that also contains alpha-carotene, cryptoxanthein, lutein, zeaxanthin, and lycopene. Other Ingredients: Cellulose (purified plant fiber aids tablet dissolution & supplies high quality fiber); Magnesium Stearate (magnesium with vegetable oil).

Vitamin A activity is only claimed for the beta-carotene, but the other carotenoids have other important biological activities, and some are even more powerful antioxidants than beta-carotene. A combination of carotenoids is more natural, since foods contain all of the carotenoids. There is also an extra margin of safety when some of the vitamin A activity is provided in the carotenoid form. Carotenoids are essentially non-toxic, even at high doses. In contrast to pre-formed vitamin A, which is toxic at high doses.

Extra-A Plus is available in a bottle of 100 Vegetarian Capsules (made from plant derived cellulose & digested as easily and rapidly as gelatin capsules).

Mfr. Rec: 1 capsule per day or as directed.
