PlantCatalyst FAQs

Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® is a nutrient absorption enhancer. It makes ‘ordinary’ water (tap water, well water, purified water, etc.) more reactive and more effective as a transport medium and improves the uptake and assimilation of nutrients. Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® is a very strong concentrate that is effective in rather dilute quantities, though, so watch your plants closely for any signs they are getting too many nutrients and reduce your nutrient levels accordingly.

Q. How does Dr Willard’s PlantCatalyst® support plant health, growth and yield?

A. Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® contains a colloidal particle called a micelle. The micelle has a very strong negative charge which attracts and re-arranges the structure of water molecules. This makes ‘ordinary’ water (tap water, well water, purified water, etc.) more reactive and improves the uptake and assimilation of nutrients.

Q. How does Dr Willard’s PlantCatalyst® affect plants?

A. Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® has been tested on over 100,000 plants including cayenne peppers, micro and potted spathiphyllum and ‘Northern Lights’ cannabis. The results include:

  • Larger and/or greener plants
  • More blooms and/or earlier blooming
  • Sturdier stocks and/or more extensive root systems
  • Greater resilience in stressful growing environments (e.g. dry, hot weather)
  • More yield per plant, larger fruit/flowers & enhanced flavour and aroma

Q. When do I use Dr Willard’s PlantCatalyst®?

A. Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® can be used at any stage of plant growth including seed germination, treatment of cuttings, flowering, etc. Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® can also be used as a foliar spray or you can add it to your regular foliar treatment.

Effective with any type of water and with any nutrient formula

Remember, Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® can be added to any type of water - - tap water, well water, purified water, etc and mixed with any nutrient formula.

Once seeded spray the rock or mineral wool twice a day with a solution of purified water and Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® mixed at a ratio of two ounces (60 mL) of Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® per 25 gallons of purified water. Make sure the cubes get plenty of moisture and remain wet. After root growth is noticed flood trays with a solution of nutrient plus Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® diluted at a rate of one ounce (30 mL) per 25 gallons of purified water.

CUTTINGS

Soak cuttings in a mixture of one ounce (30 mL) of Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® to 1 gallon (4 liters) of purified water. You can also add this mixture to your normal treatment for cuttings to enhance effectiveness.

Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® can be combined with any nutrient formula but watch your plants closely for any signs they are getting too many nutrients and adjust nutrient levels accordingly.

FOLIAR SPRAY SYSTEMS

For manual operations or smaller crops mix ½ ounce (15mL) of Dr. Willard’s PlantCatalyst® to 32 oz. (1 liter) of purified water and spray a light mist on your plants. For automated systems or larger crops use the dilution provided for in reservoir systems above.
